I'm very grateful for the teachers at Prospect Mountain High School. Yes, every school has it's rough teachers, and so does this school, but for every teacher I dislike or disagree with, there's at least four other teachers that I feel comfortable going to and talking with if I ever have a problem. However, our school pushes the importance of participating in a sport on every student, even if they aren't interested. Our school is known for the softball team, which makes being a female difficult at times. I often get asked to join the team or support it by going to a game, even when I don't want to. Meanwhile, the art and music department gets looked over every time they succeed in something. Our band and chorus have won multiple nationwide awards, but they never get recognized by the school.

I had a very rocky time at PMHS, for better and worse. This was because of many admin and teacher changes that occurred during my time here, however I still enjoyed and appreciated my overall time.

PMHS has provided the small school nurturing that I needed to succeed being a high school student dealing with the era of Covid starting my freshman year.
