Highland elementary school was the first school I ever went to and it opened many opportunities to meet new people. In the school, people were moderately kind, and the teachers were amazing. However, the food was horrible, and the culture was undesirable.

We've watched the quality slide downhill gradually, and we're left with just an average school with poor communication and an unwillingness to embrace the 21st century. We have two kids with special needs that go to highland and the teachers are absolutely amazing. They even come to home visits. We had 2 kids go through Highland. We loved the teachers. They have a great gifted program that challenged the kids. The staff seemed to really care about the kids. The after school program through the Y was great too... Especially John! We miss him! The students are welcoming. It's a great school!
