GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

My experience at Yorktown High School was generally positive, with supportive teachers and diverse extracurricular opportunities. However, large class sizes and limited resources posed challenges. I'd like to see improvements in resources for diverse learning needs and more career exploration opportunities.

Usually, I am not particularly eager to write reviews. However, I am going to make an exception for the betterment of our children's education. The school has multiple issues, such as teachers needing to be more cooperative with students and their unempathetic stance in seeing their students succeed...

Excellent school. Strong academics, activities, and sports. Comprehensive support of the whole student. Many opportunities to pursue areas of interest.

APS has not been open for well over a year. No guarantee they will go back in person for an full school day in the fall. The online classes are not challenging. Kids will not be prepared anyone for college. The failure rate over last year is almost 30%. Go private.
