GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

I've been at Ashland since 7th grade, they give opportunities to people who physically and Mentally challenged. When I came to Ashland I was nervous but the students were very welcoming and the teachers saw me struggling to pay attention to the lesson and helped and my grades were going up.`

Being in rural Kansas, Ashland High School does not have much access to a wide variety of teachers. Therefore, students don't really have much of an option as to what classes they want to take. With that being said, our school feels very safe. (And, the food is excellent!)

BEWARE---- The state of Kansas only requires a 2.0 GPA to get into one of their schools of higher learning. So if you have a student who wants to go to an Ivy League or some other college out of state you will have problems. I know from personal experience. I had to go to a community college to fina...
