Nestled on a residential street off the busy Marietta Boulevard, the school boasts an above-average academic performance, integrated technology in each classroom, outdoor classrooms and more. Utilizing a variety of assessment strategies to provide specialized instruction to each student, Bolton Academy educators uphold the school’s mission to, “cultivate critical thinkers that are socially responsible and make meaningful contributions,” within its community and beyond. The school serves the Bolton, Riverside, Hills Park and Whittier Mill neighborhoods of Upper Westside under the guiding principles of the International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme. Here, students are seen as agents in their own learning process as they navigate Common Core Standards for math, language arts, science and social studies. Bolton Academy’s location in Upper Westside is ideal for the nature-lovers. You will find the Whetstone Creek Trail just south of the school, paralleling the campus up through the Bolton neighborhood. The trail ends at the Whetstone Wetland, a nature preserve with bamboo forests and native species.
