High Point Elementary School (High Point) describes its mission as “cultivating knowledgeable, compassionate, and inquiring learners” who are prepared for their future as world citizens. Located in the north of the Windsor community in Sandy Springs, this public K-5 school prides itself on being an International Baccalaureate Primary Years Program World School since 2018, with a focus on teaching students to be internationally minded, and help the world become a better place. In addition to academics, High Point offers a slate of extracurriculars including Championship Chess, held every Thursday, or Expressions in Motion which teaches the power of dance. Students can also learn skills such as coding video game designs and are encouraged to explore their artistic and technological abilities. Advanced summer learning programs are also available to High Point students for a tuition fee. Parents and caregivers speak highly of their students’ experiences at High Point. Here, students are taught to be conscious of how they treat people, be inclusive from an early age and learn a shared goal of protecting the planet. This approach, as well as the variety of programs available at High Point, are all intended to help students shape bright futures.

High Point is a wonderful school with a dedicated staff who serve and also represent the diverse population of our school. After 3 years here, our son and daughter are happy, thriving and learning in all the ways we hoped and prayed for our children.

They quickly identified my child’s academic accomplishments and placed her in a class where she could progress even more. The activities, parental involvement al...

HPE is the best! I researched other public/charter options in the area and HPE is by far the best! Dr. Hill is a fast acting principal, who does not allow issues to go unresolved. On most mornings, Dr. Hill greets every student at the front door, by name! My daughter is HF ASD and the special educat...
