Founded in 2012, the KIPP STRIVE Primary School serves kindergarten through fourth grade students. Like its sister Knowledge is Power Program KIPP schools, Strive Primary is an open-enrollment, tuition-free public charter school. Any student can attend if they meet the residency requirements of the local school district and space is available at their grade level.
STRIVE is an acronym for success through rigorous instruction, virtue, and enrichment, which steers the core values of the school. Specifically, STRIVE Primary places emphasis on cultivating love and curiosity for learning at a young age.
STRIVE Primary offers extracurricular activities to nurture personal growth and team-building skills including a range of sports, martial arts and STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics) programs.
The STRIVE Primary campus is in the heart of the historic Westview neighborhood of Atlanta and is bordered by the neighborhood’s bungalow, but it’s still just a few miles from downtown. STRIVE Primary shares its campus with STRIVE Academy, the KIPP Metro Atlanta Schools West Atlanta school for fifth through eighth grades.
