GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

I overall do recommend this school as I have attended this school all four years of high school. This school has many opportunities for students to really be able to explore different career pathways they might want to pursue to better help them decide once they become a senior. As well as their KIPP FOWARD program helps students be set up for success whether they want to go into the workforce, college, or do a program.

This school is very college ready foward (such as helping students making sure they pass their TSI, ACT, and SAT test alongside making sure they are prepared for any resources needed for college) and does a great job in STEAM related fields, but lacks on things such as sports and even dance/cheer dispite the teams doing well during the 2023-2024 season.

KIPP Austin Collegiate is unlike no other KIPP school. Collegiate focuses a lot on academics , sports, and culture. The teachers are really active and engaging. The community is very grand and comfortable. The school might lack resources but the school always finds ways to improvise and maintain education interactive.

This is a great choice for students that want to attend college, but need an extra push to pursue advanced classes and help with the college application process.

Posted March 22, 2017 - a community member We currently attend ADS and KIPP Austin was a serious contender for his high school education once he was out of ADS. This school is truly exemplary. After having kids in both AISD and private schools, this has been the best school system I have seen. The teachers really care about the students success and the students are motivated. When the students are not motivated the teachers care enough to motivate them.
