Round Rock Independent School District’s Patsy Sommer Elementary School (Sommer) serves pre-K through fifth graders in Avery Ranch. Like many schools in the area, Patsy Sommer is a high-performing public school with an excellent academic achievement record. The school’s namesake was a beloved former Round Rock teacher and administrator.
Sommer students work hard to master the reading, writing, math, science and social studies fundamentals they need to succeed in upper grades and throughout their lives. Sommer emphasizes project-based learning, which encourages ingenuity as well as critical thinking and collaboration skills.

This was by far the worst school that my child has went to. We move around a lot, looking for good schools, but this one let me down. The school has crowding issues, as it is overpopulated.
