Barker high school has great sports team, most students are involved in a sport in the fall, winter and spring. Teams like field hockey and football excel in performance during their seasons. During big games there is a lot of fan support sometimes at far away games people will come together and rent a coach bus to travel and see the teams play.

Administrators are very good at enforcing the rules. Everyone is always helping out and informing families of any issues. Although the rules are enforced very well the dress code is something that needs some work. Too many young girls are not dressed appropriately for school.

There are not many food options. Most of the food is not healthy there is no variety. The menu stays the same throughout the year no big change. If kids are allergic to certain things they bring their own lunch because there aren't accommodations only if a student is lactose intolerant they are provided with apple juice. There are some snaks but they are over priced and there is not much to choose from.
