The best part of this school is the teachers. I think when kids give teachers respect the relationship can be good but if no respect is giving then that's completely up to the student because most teachers are actually very nice and helpful. The worst part might just be the environment and how students respect monitors or even the amount of students who aren't succeeding at school. I would like to see more plants at the school and make it more visually pretty. I think a good school starts with a good environment to be surrounded by.

From my experience, being in AP classes, Barstow High School is a decent school. You can tell most teachers enjoy their jobs and try their hardest to continue teaching, even when students are not listening. Overall, I wish there would be more enforcement in rules as there is a lot of frequent misbehaving around campus, plenty of fights, and a lot of disrespectful students.

Through high school I participated in about everything I could being in marching band my first 2 years,playing football,soccer,and tennis. The marching band program was great having a great teacher and helpers . But any other normal class such as math or English I hardly ever felt like the teachers cared and most would hardly ever teach . An for sports having the worst feilds and facilities in the league and sometimes even dangerous makes it very hard for teams with same season to train due to limited space and equipment not working always having to focus on not stepping in holes we have in the field instead of focusing on your actual practice test wasnt pleasant. An for school spirt I do give props to a hand full of teachers for trying to embrace it but Its just very hard to have school spirt which seems like it staff doesn't care for its students. There are though a hand full of teachers that did make it enjoyable . What the school needs is people that care for the students.

Barstow High school has the best principal around. I was afraid to send my child to high school because of bullies and I feel great that there was no problem. My son even brings his I PAD to school because of the IEP (special needs program) He is allowed to bring items that will help him do better i...

Honestly this school isn't that great. There are some good teachers that care that their students graduate, but a majority mainly those with tenor could care less and simply be happy getting paid.
