As a parent with students in both local public schools and Battle Ground Academy (BGA), the differences are crystal clear: * At BGA, my children are not just names on a roster; they are known for their individuality, personalities, talents, and challenges. * Accountability is a central focus at BGA, extending beyond academics to instill crucial life skills. * Unlike the public school setting, where connections are often limited to the school day, BGA encourages active involvement among students and parents, creating a tight-knit community. *Academically, BGA excels in thoughtful structuring of schedules, lessons, homework, and assessments, allowing students to balance work with fun and rest. We've been pleased with our BGA experience and look forward to bringing over our youngest child soon.

Honestly, I was heavily bullied throughout my time at BGA. I desperately wanted a change from the horrible time I had the the public school I went to before, and for a while, I got that. After a few weeks though, everything got worse. During my time at BGA, I was bullied by people who I thought were my friends. I wasn't able to get new friends because I was practically an outcast because I'm a queer nerd. The teachers barely did anything to help. They tried sometimes, but it never worked. I'm glad I left.

This is my first year at Battle Ground Academy and my overall experience has been really good! I feel like I am being pushed in my classes and I enjoy them. There is also a really good community feel at the Academy.
