GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

I used to be a middle schooler at Cam and I had problems with the science teacher of 7-8th grade. He would never grade anything and even when I contacted him and the principle about this issue only a couple of my assignments would ever be graded. This made it really hard for me to keep a good grade in his class because I didn't know what I was doing wrong on assignments and how I could fix them until the end of the school year. Whenever I would ask him about it he always dismissed me and would say " He needs time to help other students that aren't doing as good". I understand this. But if we're taking months to help students that aren't doing as good. Then maybe it's not the right school for them. It's not a problem if a teacher helps a student but when it deliberately affects my grade then there's a problem. Many others also contacted him about this. I know he has lots of classes but so do I. But the only difference is I'm not paid to go to school but he is paid to do his job.

I really appreciate how the teachers take time to work with you instead of just throwing work at you. They make it possible to understand the material instead of just trying to get it over with.

The science teacher in 7-8th grade doesn't grade assignments on time. I had to contact him many times just to get one turned in. It took him many months to just grade a couple. Due to this I was not able to see my grade until the end of the year when I could not change it. Many other students also know about this problem. I know he has many classes but I do to. But I don't get paid to do homework but he does get paid to grade it. He always uses the excuse of helping other students instead of doing his work. If students needed months of helping maybe they shouldn't be in a high educated school.I feel it is he is just being lazy and doesn't feel the need to do his work.

I attended this school from 3rd-12th grade when I graduated recently and had a fantastic experience. Bullying was rarely a problem and got dealt with right away. The homework load can be a lot for some kids but if you stay on top of things it is not too much. Sadly the new groups of kids that are co...

I used to love this school & I recommended it to all my friends & anyone who would ask. The academics are top notch & the student body used to be great. It seems once they added the 3rd & 4th grades, those kids moving up, just aren't the same nice sweet kids. I was a frequent volunteer so I got to k...

The education at this school is fantastic & my older child loved every minute of it. He graduated & now is getting straight A's at university. Academically, with the exception of upper science options, the students are very well prepared for continued education. My children are both very good writer...
