One of the best parts of Berkeley is that it is the epicenter of a community of 'givers' - parents, alumni and faculty all with a charitable spirit, ready to share their time and energies to make Berkeley a better place. The result makes everyone want to give more, and creates a ideal place for a curious and aspiring child to grow and learn. ~One Happy Parent

Some very strong teachers and quality people. Students are overall courteous and hard-working. The administration is focused on printing money first and foremost. The school could be one of the most competitive in the South under better leadership.

If you are sending your children to Berkeley based on your perception of it being an Ivy feeder school, I strongly urge you to ask the school how many of the kids accepted into Ivys are sports commits. You will be shocked and it is truly disingenuous of the school to sell itself to prospective famil...

My daughter is now starting Med school in a couple of months and my son has achieved greatly in both in major national events and programs. We love it so much we moved close to it to further participate in activities...

Berkeley is not as great as it is made out to be. The facilities are great and the campus is gorgeous, but the people truly tell the story of this school. The administration as a whole cares more about its reputation than the students well being. I have a friend who was suspended for 5 weeks for def...
