GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

Blanco High School is good for general education and sports. If you are play sports, are in Ag classes and are the top of your class, you are pushed to succeed. If you are shy or are not able to find your place in this small school, you are passed over.

I like how involved everyone is in the community and how there are so many extracurricular activities. You get a great connection that wouldn't be possible in a big school. I do wish there was a better variety of classes and that the dress code would be change because as of now, it is discriminatory and old fashioned.

Great little town with friendly people. Very welcoming community to all. If you want to get away from the big city, small town Blanco is the place to go during the holidays. Very beautiful lights and then just a short drive futher up north in Johnson City is more beautiful lights and activities to do. Love the small town felling. Only thing I would change is of course small town gossip, but then again where is there no gossip ;)
