The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.
The Test Score Rating reflects annual state test results for this school compared with scores statewide.

I've really enjoyed being at Jefferson for almost 4 years now, my brothers went there so going there is just a lot of fun. I really enjoy all the people there and most of the teachers. In every school, there are some bad teachers so it's not too bad. I really do believe that at Jefferson there are a lot of staff that really care for the students and it shows. My best time at Jefferson has been being in the Marching band, I have such great memories from it, and I would do anything to go back to freshman year to just experience it all over again. The people and the music teachers at Jefferson are probably how I kept going through life.

Overall this school is decent. I got a good education and was able to use my skills to get into a good university. However, 504 plans here are not treated with respect. Some teachers are hesitant to follow them, and as someone who's learning is impacted by this, it was something that I was glad to be done with when I graduated.

I moved to this school at the very end of my Junior year and it was very hard to make friends. Friend groups were already well established and were reluctant to take on new people. Many of the girls groups were not kind to me even up through graduation. The academics were good. The principal, Jayson Anderson, was caring and compassionate and truly cared about his students. Most of the teachers were really good too.
I would rate it a 10 out of 10. My son has been challenged academically and treated fairly. He feels safe and secure while he's there and feels like the teachers and administrators have his back and are pulling for him. I can't ask for more than that.
