Collister Elementary School celebrates a 100-year legacy of providing top-quality education to students from pre-kindergarten through the sixth grade.
Centrally located in Boise's Collister Neighborhood, the school was commemorated for Dr. George Collister, a pediatrician, founding father, and a leading philanthropist in this community.
The school opened in 1911, and by the mid-'50s, the campus was renovated to include more classrooms, a cafeteria, a gymnasium, a library, and an expansive recreation field.
Today Collister Elementary school educators strive to develop young learners into responsible, caring students that reach their full potential.
