Sacred Heart Catholic School has served the Depot Bench neighborhood of Boise since its inception in 1958 and has educated over 20,000 students since. This private academy offers kindergarten through eighth grade classrooms along with a curriculum that assists in helping children grow spiritually, intellectually, emotionally and physically while promoting a productive world-service mindset. The campus has seen several improvements over the years including an expansive multi-purpose athletic field, baseball diamond, six basketball courts, the Carolyn Flagan Memorial Science Lab and E.L. Wiegand Art Room and Technology Lab. The school has built a reputation for quality individualized learning, with a technology-to-student ratio of 1-to-1 and class sizes that average a student-to-teacher ratio of 20-to-1. When students are not focused on STEM based science and math projects or excelling in English and social studies, you'll find them active in the school's wide range of extra-curricular activities. Some highlights of the Sacred Heart's programs include student council, drama club, the Science Olympiad, the annual geography bee and a wide variety of athletic options. Sacred Heart is focused on the community by providing various opportunities to serve at shelters and coordinating service projects that promote Catholic identity.

A very caring, Catholic focused community. It is amazing the time that is put into helping students. There are times when culture could be improved to help the student's experience a more caring environment. The education is very good for the grade level although G&T programs or special outlets aren't provided/available. There is also a lack of counseling/support for students with special needs.

This really is for a family environment with individual attention to each and every student. I have no doubt that students receive a quality education and are supported emoti...

I have seen some frustration with the leadership as it seems to take a long time to get certain things moving. A lot of involvement from...

To fit in you must be a financial contributor and there is a lot of behind the scenes politics. If you aren't part of the "click" of parents in the schools community and your kid has issues with a bully and that parent is part of that "click" of parents nothing will be done. Pulled both children bec...

You must be a financial contributor and fit into the school's "community." There are many politics behind the scenes. The organization is awful, the secretary will treat you poorly-although many parents dislike her, she remains employed. Take your children to a better school that treats families bet...
