Timberline High School opened its doors in 1998 with a mission to support and educate all students to their highest level of academic ability. At Timberline High, students are inspired to stay committed, competent, and reflective members of society while fostering a lifelong love of learning. Unsurprisingly, student performance is above the state average in math, reading, and science. Timberline High School was ranked by the Washington Post as one of the top 1,500 schools in the country. The school's iconic clock tower symbolizes its timeless commitment to every student's academic success. Timberline High School offers a trove of academic resources and athletic amenities, including modern classrooms, a multi-media library, a dedicated music room, two softball diamonds, an Olympic-sized track, four basketball courts, eight tennis courts, and much more. Students love to cheer on the Timberline Wolves as they consistently compete in varsity boys and girls basketball, wrestling, cheerleading, football, softball, and debate. Other extracurricular activities include performing arts and drama, the annual science fair, business club, band, and choir. Parents appreciate the academic resources provided and the active parent-teacher organization that oversees events during the school year, including the annual Athletics Gala, where fine dining, a silent auction, and games support the school's athletic department. Timberline High School’s top-tier academics, arts, and athletics make it a signature selection for secondary education in Southeast Boise.

Timberline's a good school with lots of fun activities and supportive teachers. One time in chemistry, our class did this cool hands-on lab that actually made science fun—everyone was laughing and learning. There's a strong sense of community here. It'd be better if students had more say in decisions and if the rules were more fair, but overall it's a solid place to be.

Timberline High School was a great experience for me. I was very involved through sports, a community leadership program, and academics. Timberline offers and encourages higher level learning in AP courses that allowed me to be more prepared for college. The academics, sports, and clubs at Timberline are well above average.

A lot of the teachers seem to not enjoy or care about their jobs a lot of the time, which is frustrating to deal with. The band is one of the best in Idaho and was recently nominated for a nationwide competition, with only 32 schools across the nation attending.

10/10! I am a parent of military children who have experienced lots of public education, across the country. What they are doing at Timberline is what we hope and pray for with each new assignment. If your child is willing to learn, this school provides it! Also, they aren't just math/science/readin...

Yes we have good academic ratings, but when I'm in the classroom I'm just given a packet and told its due at the end of the period... I LOVED learning and was excited about it until i came to this school. Our athletics are great too, but as much as I love sports I have never seen so much negativity...

This is a top-notch high school, one you will want to apply to have your child attend if you are in another Boise school district area. Here are some things I appreciate about THS, as a parent: 1. Academics. In every department there are nationally awarded teachers, many with advanced degrees. Your...

The rating for Timberline High School is a FIVE across the board for good reason! Those of us who know Timberline best--who are students and parents of T-line students--know the high quality of the teachers, programs, administration and facility. Seeing where the students go on to college, how many...
