New Vista is a fantastic school, cultivating student lead learning and advocacy. They offer alternative ways to traditional learning for students who may have struggled at other schools. A very welcoming and accepting community, especially for queer students. The biggest difficulty was the restrictions that the district put into the school's options for math and science.

As a student, I feel like I got the best out of every class taught at New Vista. The teachers truly cared about my health and safety throughout my first 2 years. The school is welcoming to all academic accommodations, and by the beginning of the 2025-2026 school year, they will hopefully have a new building to keep their students in.

I transferred here starting at the beginning of sophomore year and I felt that I fit in and I made friends however there is an air of toxicity here that is sometimes hard to avoid. However the teachers are excellent at catering to students needs and helping students who do not function well in a traditional high school.

Great academic program coupled with innovative immersive style. Fewer classes per quarter lets teachers and students focus and go deeper. Minimum passing grade of B for core curriculum sets high standards.

as a student i can say that this school hides ugly with beauty. The teachers never respond to my emails or comments. They don't teach all they do is hand out worksheets and say have a good day.
