It's definitely a good school. But to get the best of the school you should be in honors classes. I am an 8th grader at the school currently and I am going to take 4 regents this year. There is really nothing with the school. The only thing 180, one of the schools next to 181, has some bugs. But really that's it. 8/10 in general.

I can really see that the principal is trying but he needs a more cohesive team. The deans and assistant principals are useless as they fail to truly address issues. My daughter is in the 6th grade and had an issue of bullying within the first few months of school. Once the administration became aware of the conflict, the matter was quickly addressed and resolved. I like the fact of the website that keeps parents informed of how the student is doing academically...

There isn't much test prep. and the staff members are very disorganized. Loads of days off and there barely is a PTA (Parent Teacher Association). Students are left to do things on their own, and you have only a hand full of teachers who want to help your child pass. I wouldn't recommend this as a f...

From the first dsy I walked into 181 with my son I have no regrets. The Principal and staff are very understanding. The atmosphere and environment is very warm and friendly. The teachers are awsome. I would recommend this school
