GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

Its ok. Some of the teachers seem like they don't want to be there and aren't the best a teaching. The principle is great and does her best. Overall it could be better/worse.

The teachers are outstanding and helpful but the school needs more funding. But there is a lot of high school drama and fights that happen. The new principal is strict.

Brownsville was a very underrated high school. The staff strives to help everyone achieve their utmost potential. The students are who create the bad reputation it has. Very few students do it, too, but the surrounding area has belittled the school due to it. It is a school that has helped me blossom into who I am and made me proud to go there. The only major improvement that could be made is more AP classes added to the curriculum and a larger budget.

Parents are one of the most important people in a kids education. For some reason some of these parents put 100 percent of the problems on the teachers when it...
