GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

Hockinson High School has been such a great school for me over the past four years. The staff is so friendly, and there are plenty of engaging activities for all students. The teachers truly care about their students and the quality of education that they are receiving.

I can't say everything about Hockinson as I am new and because of Covid I haven't been able to actually enter the school. However, as a new student I can say that the school is very helpful. The administration is a little slow to reply, but are willing to answer even the stupidest of questions. The teacher's are wonderful at trying to make sure everyone has all their questions answered and they are all very understanding.

I had faced a significant amount of discrimination during my time as a student, and the administration had refused to acknowledge the racial issues experienced by minorities. As a student, I had felt I was alone in the school and had few resources to reach out to in times of need.

I had to leave this school ASAP because of the constant bullying. I still live in the district and my sister still goes to the school, so every time I drive past the school, I want to throw up.

We feel so lucky that our kids are able to experience and exemplary education in a close-knit and caring environment. The are being well prepared for life after high school. Moving to Hockinson is the best decision we could have made for our family.

Three of my kids have gone through HHS, all having received a solid education and a well rounded high school experience. We are very happy here.
