GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

Worst school I've ever encountered. The students and teachers are unmotivated and non educated. This school fails its students in every way imaginable- avoid it at all costs.

City Honors School is overall a good school. It provides students with rigorous courses that prepares us for college. I have taken many college level courses that will help me in my future. There are many clubs to participate in and students can even create their own. However, the workload can become too much. It is a magnet school, the stress levels are high, but it is manageable. The school claims to be diverse, however 50% is white, 50% is "other".

It depends on what you are looking for. This is NOT the school for you if you are interested in Math, Technology and Science (STEM) or Business, Medical careers. This would be an excellent school for a student who has strengths in English or History. The school forces all 10th grade students to take...

Was bullied so badly at this school that I literally suffer from Post Traumatic Stress Disorder as a result. The academics aren't even that good. People at this school think a 3 on the AP exam is good. In college, people from other, "normal" public schools across the country get straight 4s and 5s on...

Excellent school. Ranked top 10 to top 25 nationally, year in and year out. Best in WNY and at the top of New York State rankings. All despite its place in a struggling district and having a third of its students at or below the poverty line. The administration, teachers, students, and parents are d...
