The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.
The Test Score Rating reflects annual state test results for this school compared with scores statewide.

some of the best parts about being at calais have been the sports like baseball and basketball and the friends along the way but some of the worst things is the unfair administration and people getting in trouble for stuff they shouldn't be and people not getting in trouble for stuff they should be. i'd like to see a change in administration

There is a wide variety of extracurricular opportunities at Calais High School. Our main organizations are Student Council and National Honor Society. These are highly reputable groups. I hold the position of Vice President on the council and President of the Honor chapter. We are called the leaders of the school for the great representation we show for our school and student body. We organize many events that require all of our members from both clubs and once you are a member you must hold a high level of commitment as it is an honor to hold a position on them. We hold a meeting once a month that is filled with many upcoming things such as fundraising and activities we are hosting for the school and community. We also have many other clubs like, Dead Poet Society, Academic Decathlon, and Civil Rights club. Our administration is fully supportive of all our organizations and recognizes the dedication we hold for it. I don't think our school would be as great if these clubs were not there.
