On a sprawling campus in the heart of the Biltmore neighborhood, Camelback High is a public school serving more than 2,100 students in ninth through twelfth grades as part of the Phoenix Union School District.
In addition to a core curriculum, the school offers Advanced Placement classes and performing arts as well as career and technical education courses for college credit in accounting, business, hospitality management, culinary arts, education, or engineering. In addition, Camelback High hosts one of the only Montessori college prep programs in the state of Arizona.
As far as extracurriculars, students can dedicate themselves to service in JROTC, National Honor Society, and student government, or pursue their passions in Academic Decathlon, band, choir, dance, newspaper, yearbook, or e-sports, among many others.
To rev up team spirit, Camelback High also has a robust athletics program outfitted with a football stadium, four ball fields, and more than a dozen courts on campus. Aspiring Camelback Spartans can compete in swimming, cross country, wrestling, golf, tennis, and track and field, or further build camaraderie in basketball, baseball, volleyball, soccer, softball and, of course, football.

Camelback High School is a great school. There is a large diversity of students who attend there and there are many clubs and classes for different cultures. There are multiple clubs and sports ranging from anime club to softball club. The food is okay and there are different options but the hot food options for lunch are quite repetitive. The breakfast is great though. It's a nice neighborhood and there is a lot of safety around the school. The teachers are amazing and make it very easy to connect with them.

i moved to camelback on my second half of junior year, and i really enjoyed it and love the way they have time to work on what you need to. most of my teachers were very kind, considerate, and fun.

My time at Camelback High School was an odd and joyful experience. In the beginning, I had attended during COVID-19 for my freshman year, this made my high school experience troubling as it was hard to converse and commune with my peers. But with help from my counselors and teachers, they were able to make my time at Camelback a great one.

When it comes to Camelback I am definitely proud of my choice coming here where there are so many opportunities for different kids with whatever you have in mind and this welcoming environment and amazing vibes have definitely me helped open up to those opportunities!!
