My child's 5th grade teacher was a standout. Early in her career, she was enthusiastic and went above and beyond. We were lucky to have her. Our experience with a 6th grade teacher was the opposite. Disinterested and disorganized, her excessive absences (not due to illness) became a running joke among students and parents. School safety was weird. Having students line up against a wall during a lockdown drill needs to be explained.

It really depends on the teacher.There was one, fairly early in her career, who was absolutely excellent. Kind, caring, supportive, inspiring. Central School is warm and caring. The teachers and administration really focus on character development and respect for all. For three years with two children at the school we have enjoyed small class sizes and exceptional teachers.

The teachers really care. They call central a family and it really is true. Great programs and special events.
