Unfortunately, the school has cut/scaled-back nearly all of the things students look forward to. This includes: Family night with talent show & class performances, field trip to La Purisima, 6th grade science camp, 6th grade knott's berry farm, 4-6th grade end of year picnics.

The parents, students and teachers are amazing. I feel the principal is not culturally sensitive, though. I was shocked when I, as a African American female told her I was going to apply to be a sub in the district a few years back, her response was something along the lines "I think you need certain education/schooling for that." I was so shocked, I didn't know what to do.

My daughter moved to Carver from West Covina Unified School District, and she struggled to catch up with her classmates but after bit she got better because of her teachers patients with her. Most of the teachers are very nice and helpful. I would recommend it.

The principal is unprofessional. Very hard to get a hold of and Non responsive.

I don't know what those other reviews are talking about, but my experience at Carver and with the principal have been nothing but awesome!
