As a magnet kid in seventh grade, I would not recommend going to this school, especially if you're not a magnet kid. To start, all of the administration are constantly lecturing us about how great the school is and how lucky we are to be going there. This is baffling to me, because the school really isn't that great. However, we frequently have pep rallies and assemblies that shove school spirit down our throats. The school is not sanitary at all; the bathrooms are constantly needing to be cleaned. The administrators are always yelling and not very friendly. It's really hard to get help around there. When the pep rally gave me a panic attack, I was told I couldn't go anywhere without a pass, but was luckily rescued by one of the good teacher. As a magnet kid, the curriculum is very good, but I feel bad for my residential friends, who don't have it as good. There's a really big divide between us, and it's hard to feel united as a grade when I don't know half the people.

I transferred to CMS during 7th grade. I had been attending a highly rated private school, but had to transfer for financial reasons. I was worried at first, but my experience has been great. I love going to school with my friends from the neighborhood. Classes are good and teachers are better than my other school.

the teachers are very nice and helpful but the staff is really bad the only staff member that is nice is Dr.Stovall and the school food is discusting.

A current student here, our teacher tried to have us eat food in class as a treat before thanksgiving breaks. However, she was sick the day of, so we had to go to the cafeteria. The educational part of the school is average and most of the teachers are fair with homework and discipline. The state of the school, however, is an entirely different thing.
