This is a school that has nothing to offer. They claim that they have good art and music programs, but the students are interested in art does not mean the art programs are good. In fact, what they offer can be found at any other schools and even much better. The academic is not rigorous at all, even boring. The courses they offer are very limited, and you do not get to choose besides some limited art courses. If you are not interested in art, this school has nothing else to offer you. Choosing to come here is the worst decision that I have ever made. I regret it, but it is too late. If you are a local and you like art, you can consider here but there are many other schools that are so much better in M.A.

I attended the Academy for six years and wished that I could have stayed for many more. This school community is simultaneously rigorous and nurturing––here, I discovered the value of hard work, challenge, and leadership, and I learned how to be a responsible and accountable member of a community. I owe many of my best traits to the people I met and the lessons I learned at the Academy, and I am grateful every day for all that this school did for me.

Both of my children have had the opportunity to attend the Academy of Charlemont. The Academy is an environment that nurtures the minds, hearts and souls of young people; providing a creative and classical education the Academy is a school with a rigorous academic curriculum as well as a rich arts curriculum.
