My best experience with this school would be the teachers - supportive, understanding, willing to compromise - so unlike those in my last school. My worst experience, if it can be called that way, would be that it is difficult to gauge the rigor of the program as a new student, and this difficulty may result in a schedule too easy, without the ability to change it.

Overall, the academics are amazing and the teachers are really concerned over making sure that the students understand what they are learning. They set the framework for what a student needs in order to be successful in a class but in a way, they make it a little burdensome. Though the academics are great, the cleanliness is a problem though I don't think it is the faculties' fault. The students at this school do not know how to clean up after themselves so the cleanliness is the honest negative of this school. If the school were to be cleaner, I would have a better time at this school. Other than that, going to school wasn't a terrible experience because the teachers were okay and reasonable.

Providence is easily one of the best schools from an academic standpoint and prepares students for college in a way that few other high schools do. However the work load is intense and student often feel that they have very little time to focus on other activities. There are many clubs and sports to choose from but finding the time to get involved in these and still complete all school work is often difficult for students. I think that a good change to implement would be to encourage students to split their efforts between extracurriculars and school work and not to focus too strongly on only one aspect.

The school is rated highly because they care about high test scores. Nothing more. If you have an over achieving child it’s a good school for you. If your child is an average kid they will be tossed aside. Please beware. My kids were, on average, A-/B+ students. This school only cares about students...

I attented this school. From my experience, the teachers I had were not good. You go to class just to copy workbooks and figure out the answers yourself. The teachers did not teach. How can you learn like this?

My experience has differed from others in the site. Maybe only people with poor experiences get on here? Our child has a 504. Counselors have been proactive about ensuring it’s followed. Teachers have been supportive as well. As with any school, not every teacher will be a great fit (& this has been...
