Roberto Clemente Community Academy has been a public neighborhood high school for about 130 years. It serves 605 students from sections of Wicker Park, Bucktown, Logan Square, Humboldt Park and Ukrainian Village. Updated facilities and robust career education programs set it apart from other schools. An International Baccalaureate World School, it offers three career and technical education options: culinary arts, allied health and broadcast technology. The culinary program has two full professional kitchens and a dining room. Broadcast students use a new classroom complex with two production studios, green screen facilities, studio cameras, prompters and field equipment. Those who choose allied health eventually go off-campus, interning at partner hospitals. With lower-than-average performance metrics, Clemente is receiving intensive support from the Chicago Public Schools (CPS) system. On the bright side, there are improvements in multiple categories. Additionally, five-year graduation rates and SAT scores here both exceed CPS averages. Aside from the career education facilities, there are plenty of other resources available to help students succeed. Clemente’s sports center includes a 25-meter swimming pool, two gyms and a weight room. There's also baseball, soccer and softball fields, and two tennis courts. Add that to three art rooms, three music rooms, science labs and a health center, and you have a well-equipped high school. Clemente is a neighborhood high school with a specific attendance area, but it also uses a citywide lottery system for some of its academic tracks. Take a look at the specific enrollment processes if one of the programs interests you.

Clemente is a good environment for students, with teachers that care about both your present and future, students that are open and welcoming, and a very friendly and helpful staff. My years at Clemente have been amazing with adventures that I will never forget. I've made great friends, been enrolled in very educational and fun classes, and taken part in many amazing opportunities and activities.

It was hard to start with online school here, things feel very overwhelmed and sometimes teachers didnt help me when i needed but others are great. For the most part things are good.

My experience at Clemente was pretty good. I enjoyed hanging out with my friends and the teachers there are pretty chill. One thing I wish they did have is a carpentry class/program.
