Located at 2010 N Central Park Ave., Funston Elementary School serves the neighborhood of Logan Square and kindergarten through eighth grade. Funston Elementary is focused on creating a safe and nurturing classroom for students to pursue bilingual scholastic excellence.
49 percent of Funston students are first-time English learners, and the staff is committed to helping students reach state math and reading proficiency levels by offering instruction in both Spanish and English. 11 percent of Funston's students test at or above required proficiency levels in reading and 10 percent test at or above proficiency levels in math.
Funston Elementary enrolls 410 students who enjoy a student-to-teacher ratio of 16-to-1 and an average class size of 20. Each student is provided with technology to complete assignments in their classrooms, and Funston Elementary places special emphasis on student enrichment through the arts, physical education, music and sports.

Because my child has done alot of improvement. And the teacher she is really nice.

This school has low test scores the teacher teach in Spanish in the non Spanish classes. They do not send information out in a timely fashion all the people giving this school a good grade are part of the in-crowd. This school has be on probation for five years and the children show signs of that.
