Gateway Montessori School offers students in the Albany Park and Iriving Park neighborhoods the chance to thrive in a unique school atmosphere. Like all Montessori schools, Gateway’s goal is to enrich and develop the mental and physical potentials of all of its students. The school offers programs for children ages 15 months to 12 years, with a curriculum that is split into three main age groups.
Education at Gateway is based on the five main Montessori principles: freedom, responsibility, independence, respect and intellectual fervor. All instructors at Gateway Montessori hold diplomas from accredited Montessori teaching schools, in addition to college degrees.
While classroom programming is the foundation of a good education, Gateway Montessori recognizes the role that the learning environment plays. The school moved to a brand-new facility in 2017 which includes floor-to-ceiling windows in all classrooms, a large communal area and an enclosed outdoor garden and play area.
Gateway Montessori is licensed by both the Illinois Department of Child and Family Services and the City of Chicago.

Our daughter loved her experience at Gateway. She was there at 3 and 4 years old. The community is loving while they teach the necessary curriculum for each age range. The communication from leadership to parents is excellent - and we really appreciated their professionalism.
