Named after Sarah Elisabeth Goode, a former slave and 19th-century inventor, the Goode STEM Academy offers students a world-class education that prepares them for the technological jobs of the future. Serving grades 9 through 12, Goode STEM Academy seeks to build a learning culture that nurtures creativity and sparks imagination.
One of Chicago Public Schools' Early College STEM Schools, Goode connects high school students to college learning for a seamless transition. Goode hosts collaborative programs with both IBM and Daley College, allowing students to learn job skills and earn college credit while still in high school. Graduates of Goode Academy often go on, after college, to successful careers in fields like software development and mechanical engineering.
With an emphasis on science, technology, engineering and math, students experience a well-rounded curriculum, as well as numerous opportunities for extracurricular activities. Competitive sports include baseball, football, coed softball and basketball. Events include the annual STEM Fest, which highlights projects created by students in all grades. Parents are encouraged to join the Parent Advisory Council, a virtual and in-person community dedicated to helping parents become an integral part of their student’s education.

Overall, enjoy high school while it lasts because you will always remember these memories. My time at Goode STEM was very special, but in order to have a good experience you need to make connections and make friends. My advice would be to join sports, if it wasn't for my sports I wouldn't have met a lot of amazing people along my journey. Being a senior I will always cherish the good times and remember that the tough ones shape who you are.

i loved attending Sarah e Goode stem being all for years and playing a sport really brought me out of my shell my freshman year i barely talked to anyone when i joined the football team there i slowly opened my shell the food is not very good but better than what my grammar school had

I think this school has very good classes and opportunities that prepare us for college. Not only college in general but any major that we are planning on pursuing.
