has programs that's not available in nearby public schools. 4 year engineering pathway program is one of the most unique program my school have. it really helps students prepare for college if they already have an idea for their future.

Ruben S. Ayala High School is a school that has both good and bad take away. The school is heavily based on academics and the classes we can choose from are a wide range with both challenging courses and some not so challenging courses. The culture at the school is very competitive though and it often seems that if a person isn't in AP classes and taking the hardest courses no matter doing well or not they are looked down about. The school is located in a district which is heavily corrupted by external factors and does not treat all student equally. Students who identify within the LGBTQ community are treated unequal and it causes a divide between the students which negatively impacts the culture at school and makes many people that are in the LGBTQ community feel unsafe and unwelcomed at school.

Overcrowded. Run down. Basketball coach is unapproachable and only communicates through email and refuses to speak to parents. Students seeking to play other sports or participate in band cannot do so without being penalized by the head coach.
