CICS Bucktown is an innovative, tuition-free kindergarten through eighth grade charter school in Chicago's Bucktown neighborhood. The school has an energetic learning environment, with over 600 eager learners and a very talented and dedicated teaching staff.
The school promotes hands-on and project-based learning experiences along with an after-school program that provides fine arts, health and wellness and academic tutoring. Given the title of Exceptional School by the Northwest Evaluation Association, CICS Bucktown attends to the needs of each child with an effective, personalized learning model. The school offers a stimulating and challenging standard curriculum as well as a variety of art, Spanish and media courses.
Beyond academics, Bucktown students get to enjoy team sports like softball, basketball, soccer and track. Using blended learning with technology integrated into classrooms, CICS Bucktown inspires and supports each child's physical, social, emotional and academic education for success at school and beyond the classroom.

My son had several teachers in Kindergarten which i wasnt very thrilled about, but when he got to first grade and his Teacher Mrs Flynn was just AMAZING. She was firm but yet very loveable.
