GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

In all my time there, Cimarron has been a school that prioritizes the success of students, making sure to pay attention to individual student needs rather than just the student body in general. They have a lot of good teachers and classes, and an excellent student to teacher ratio.

My experience at this school has been pretty good overall. It is a small school, though, so there aren't many classes to deeply explore possible careers. I wish they offered more engineering classes. All that is offered right now is a Blueprint Reading/Drafting class.

Overall, I have enjoyed going to school at Cimarron High School. The small school and community make for a great environment. One thing I would like to see change is the culture at Cimarron High. I am on the SALT Leadership Team and this is something I have been working extremely hard to change. It just takes everyone to buy-in. I really think as our group expands and works to make our school better we will see more of a culture change in the upcoming years.

This school is very much about having the right name. If you have a certain name your kids get special  treatment and if a teacher doesn't treat these kids special  they will be fired. These "special" kids can do anything they want and nothing happens in the school and the community. There was a vide...
