Centrally located in the West Boulevard neighborhood and part of the Cleveland Metropolitan School District, Almira Academy provides comprehensive education from pre-kindergarten through eighth grade for more than 500 students. Almira's vision statement focuses on such emotional-development touchstones as respect, consideration and ownership, all of which tie into the school's mission statement "to assist all students in achieving high standards of excellence academically, as well as socially and emotionally, and to provide a safe environment which fosters positive relationships and mutual respect between students, staff and parents, while also cultivating and creating success beyond high school." With a student-to-teacher ratio of approximately 16-to-1, students of all ages are able to get more specialized attention throughout the school day. Additionally, Almira Academy continues to offer virtual learning that is tailored to a child's needs, using proven programs such as Schoology and Seesaw. Like all CMSD schools, Almira Academy adheres to a dress code to help keep students focused on work. The school also supplies each student with a tablet or laptop to assist in their work, free of charge. Almira is partnered with numerous Say Yes to Education and Wraparound community partners, providing such benefits as tutoring, yoga classes, mental health assistance and more.

My children were moved from the far east suburbs of willoughby to Cleveland in the middle of the year. I was extremely worried being they were use to a top school in NE Ohio and almira had bad ratings. This school Is amazing. It's beautiful and up to date and has a great system for so many children....

My kids went here for 5yrs it was a great school the thing they needed to work on the most was the bullies and some of the staff some of the staff should have never been hired as teachers really but other then that once they clear that up would be wonderful school my kids were very well known n like...
