Lake Erie International High School (LEIHS) serves ninth through 12th graders in the Edgewater neighborhood. The educational approach at LEIHS strives to help ensure graduates are fully ready for their next steps in one or more post-graduate options.
Recognizing that everyone’s journey is different, Lake Erie International High School works closely with Ohio Means Jobs to help students who want to go straight to finding gainful employment during their final year.
The Career Technical Program at LEIHS allows seniors to specialize in medical billing and coding, law and public safety dispatch, state-tested nursing assistant courses, or phlebotomy technician training to prepare for a career immediately out of high school.
Students are able to earn industry credentials toward college or real-world experience in one of the following areas: business administration, hospitality and tourism, government administration, audio-visual technology, or information technology.
To foster school spirit, students also enjoy a number of field trips throughout the year, exploring places such as Cedar Point, The Natural History Museum, and the State Capital in Columbus. Additionally, a host of fun activities such as twin day, pajama day and themed dances encourage student socialization.
