Marion C Seltzer Elementary is a public elementary school in Cleveland’s Cudell neighborhood serving children in kindergarten through eighth grade. With one of the most diverse populations in Ohio, their student body represents 17 languages and 27 countries.
Dedicated to meeting every child where they are, this school offers bilingual support services for students learning English as a second language. Additionally, they have staff fluent in American Sign Language trained to help students.
Making sure students are ready for all aspects of the real world is a priority at Marion C Seltzer school. They value traditional scholarly learning as well as social and emotional learning. This school produces programs such as the Not on Our Watch anti-bullying program, Winning Against Violent Environments, and Applewood Counseling Service.
With learning beyond the classroom as their top priority, students benefit from multiple field trips each year to places such as the Cleveland Zoo, Cleveland Aquarium, NASA, Playhouse Square, and Lake Metroparks Farmpark, to name a few.
Thanks to partnerships with the Cudell Recreation Center and the Cudell Fine Arts Center, this school can offer a number of extracurricular activities, including photography, art clubs, basketball, soccer, choir, and many more.
