The staff is very bright and they implement the rules very well. There are some teachers that don't want to do anything, however the good ones outweigh the bad and you can always count on at least 5 teachers there to help tutor you, encourage you, and be your friend. When you first arrive, the staff makes it and easy adjustment from 1 teacher to 7. Overall, I had fun at Yucca, but we need a longer lunch. Studies have shown that students perform better when they are given time to relax and get away from academics. Currently, the lunches only last 30 minutes each, but I think students need more like 45. As a result Yucca is a great place for your kids.

I think a lot of teachers now teach straight from the book and the students are forced to self teach themselves. There are not many teachers that know how to give the information in multiple ways so every student in the classroom can understand it.

I enjoyed my school year here. I had a lot friends and played sports year round. I had good teachers and performed well in school. I had no problem with anyone or anything at this school.

I highly don't recommend to come to this school cause they don't do anything they let kids get away with smoking and drinking but only care about grades and fights, and they have favoritism with some kids letting the boys get away with everything but girls would get in trouble making it actually sex...

Horrible experience. My son, a straight A student, was bullied and was threatened. He became depressed and had anxiety. He made a cry for help and that was taken the wrong way. Instead of understanding the situation and trying to help him they expelled him and he ended up in a mental health hospital...
