Middle school seems like a long time ago, but I remember thinking it was the most important time of my life and I can still remember it all vividly. Yucca was a great school. For a small town with little money, they did our district proud and always made sure to give the kids and the community the best that they could. The teachers were helpful and caring and the atmosphere was happy. They made sure that even though school could become difficult, that the students had something to look forward too.

The resources were available to students to easily get too. They did tutoring in the library everyday after school. The teachers worked with the students schedules if they needed help. The guidance counselors were available or got you in to see them as soon as possible, which was usually very quick. The school was in good shape and didn't have any bad or run areas of it.

I think a lot of teachers now teach straight from the book and the students are forced to self teach themselves. There are not many teachers that know how to give the information in multiple ways so every student in the classroom can understand it.

Horrible experience. My son, a straight A student, was bullied and was threatened. He became depressed and had anxiety. He made a cry for help and that was taken the wrong way. Instead of understanding the situation and trying to help him they expelled him and he ended up in a mental health hospital...

9 out of 10. Everyone is very helpful. Most teachers try to learn everyone's names so they can be a mentor as well as a teacher.
