GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

I have recently moved into the city of Coaling during the month of July. This is a very small town with a small school. The campus is small but very comfortable. The ambiance around the school is great and there is also lots of school spirit. The teachers that were given to me are excellent and do a great job at teaching to get the students involved. There is a small lack of security surrounding the school with there being open doors to the school where anyone from the outside could get into campus.

Well, the past 3 years I have attended Coalinga High School I have had many moments some great and others not. The best part of it is that there is diversity in school and many clubs. Overall most of the teachers are great and others can work on how to manage situations and how to treat the students. The best part is that I got to make friends which made school events fun such as rallies that they have, and school dances. What I would like to see change is to make new restrooms and to remodel the school from the inside. As well as add some nursing classes or a class related to the medical field.

I live my school and find a lot of the teachers to be very invested into the students well being and not just their grade or behavior. My school does everything they can to make the high school experience for the students fun and memorable. I wish more people could experience how good my high school is and give props to all the teachers and staff. Thank you.

This school being the only high school to attend nearby their is no other choice for Coalinga and Huron students to attend. This school cares more about what other stuff than your grades. Some staff discrimate against you they don't say nothing but they give you a dirty look. Most students here don'...

This school is very small and because of it there are many clicks and there is no diversity it is all a popularity contest that staff buy into. Since this is the only high school in Coalinga students do not have many options.

I love this school! The teachers really care about their students even ones that fail. The teachers and other staff are really helpful. You fail a test go in after school and they will go over it with you so you do learn it. Then they are overly special teachers you get close to and you can show up...
