Going into this year my son hated school...the teachers at ums have made it fun, while learning at the same time. He has not only became a much better reader but he has also learned to love school!

My son went into 1st grade at Union Memorial barley being able to read. They have worked with him and just in a trimester his reading improved so much! He now loves school! Loves his teacher! We love the communication at ums! Having the teacher blogs is wonderful!

Union Memorial School is amazing! There is an incredibly dedicated staff and wonderful (award winning) principal. You can't go wrong sending your children to this school. They will receive an excellent education and enjoy it.

I wish I could give UMS 6 stars! This school has a wonderful, nurturing staff who truly care about the kids and put them in positions to succeed. We were sad when our oldest child graduated from 2nd grade that we would miss the teachers and staff until our younger child started Kindergarten. We need...

My daughters thrived at this school. Wonderful, caring staff who nurtured them along each step of the educational process. Can't wait until my younger two attend. Our experience at UMS far exceeded our expectations> This school is a model of what all VT elementary schools should aspire to be!!!!

The teachers are wonderful...there are so many events for the family to participate, and there are many involved parents. There is just a real sense of community. I love the reading program. My four year old daughter has come in with me to read in her brother's classroom and now can't wait to start...
