GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

Columbia High School is a very welcoming and supportive school. It is easy to get involved with any kind of extracurricular activity, and the support from the community is always overwhelming

There are so many wonderful aspects about this school. The academics are great, the college readiness is excellent (considering the state tests, ap help, and sat/act prep), I was able to learn how to drive and get my permit, the teachers are hospitable and accommodating, and the food is okay on some days. As an aspiring stage actor, my favorite part is the annual musical that we get to do each year. It's so much fun, and we get to feel like Broadway stars for like 2 weeks. This school is such a tight-knit community and I don't regret coming here. Some parts aren't so great, like some of the fine arts teachers' attitudes, the unnecessary negativity from students, but that's all a part of the social scene. One thing I don't like though is that not a lot of POC here get lead roles. There's a lot of bias when it comes to casting decisions. But when we do, it's rare. Otherwise, it's a great, diverse, and inclusive school. We need more POC directors though.

It was definitely worthwhile. It is, in my personal opinion, one of the better schools in the general area.
