My experience with Spring Valley High School had some pros and cons. Academically, I can definitely say I feel prepared for high school and most classes are diverse. However, since I was in the Discovery Magnet Program, there was not a lot of diversity with me being the only Black Child in the program for my grade. Athletically, most of our sports programs are strong with a good coaching staff and great support from faculty, students, and parents.

Offers great courses that align with your major. Not the cleanest but definitely helps gives clarity to what you want to do in the future.

Honestly I would say the students are the worst experience like any other school. It sucks because they had removed the mirrors from the bathroom just so that kids wouldn't take a long time in there and roaming the hallways. It's honestly not that strict all in all. We have dress code but it's not as bad. I don't like how we can't wear hats even bandanas. The school food is alright but I just personally wouldn't eat it because I have a sensitive stomach, but they do sell snacks so it's always nice so I don't stay hungry the whole day

Both of my children attended all four years Spring Valley. The opportunities are endless! They can choose from basic CP classes to a wide array of AP courses depending on what best suits their needs. The teachers are accommodating, kind, and willing to work with all students, as they genuinely care...

Wish I could rate it lower. I have never seen a dress code so outdated and borderline sexist. If a girl cannot wear dress code approved shorts, then what's the point? No wonder people have complained about the way these students get treated. You WILL be changing the dress code before this becomes a...
