Instilling community values in students, Creo Montessori School in Gilbert, Arizona, creates a learning environment based on a student’s natural sense of wonder. Modeled around the popular alternative learning method by Dr. Maria Montessori, students are encouraged to learn by discovery in a classroom created to nurture intellectual exploration. Creo Montessori School is a private school serving first through sixth grade students. There are programs for infants, toddlers and prekindergarten as well. Students can advance to the middle and high school adolescent program to continue their foundation in Montessori learning.
The curriculum at Creo Montessori School encourages students to explore interconnectedness and their place in the universe. In keeping with the Montessori method, the curriculum is centered around five lessons that each focus on a different element of children’s education, from the beginning of the universe to writing and numbers.
Collaboration is key as partnerships are developed on projects and assignments. Core classes are taught innovatively to increase understanding of mathematics, language, science, geography and the arts. There is a focus on social studies and bilingual learning, and morality and justice are front and center in the classroom. Creo Montessori School offers scholarship and financial aid opportunities for children 5 years and older.
