I love my school. it's a controversial take but I do genuinely like it. Wouldn't want to be anywhere else.

Cypress Lakes is really a place that I can call I secondary home. I found my community there and have strong bonds with most if not all of my teachers. I have also sometimes found it overwhelming with the amount of work we are given sometimes, but it's a part of life and learning. I would like to see change in maybe the curriculum so that certain units are cohesive with the other instead of being separated.

High School period was an overall scary thing to step into alone. Having to assume your own independence after coming from a place of community and unity like elementary and middle school made the switch more dramatic than it was. Cypress Lakes allowed me to become the person I am today safely and had different methods to block temptations of the wrong peers.

I always have high respect for teachers and what they do - but some of them are just Ok. The worst part of this school is the registration office - they are very condescending when they talk to you - instead of being helpful , they talk to you like you are asking for money from them. Cypress Lakes High School is a good school. (Most) teachers are nice, respectful, fun, and more than anything, professional. The counsellors are very good at replying to emails in a timed fashion.
