If your child is in an IEP program, AVOID Maury if at all possible. They do not care about letting your child slip between the cracks. Much of the time pushing behavior more than academics. My child was accused of being a liar on many occasions without proof. Has been belittled and bullied by teachers and the principal. He did have some very understanding teachers his 7th grade year. We scheduled many meetings which they were very helpful and encouraging.

Do yourself a favor and move. That's what our family resorted to after relentless bullying went on ignored and arguably encouraged for years.

The administration is to worried about personal agendas. The school is dirty and poorly maintained. If you haven't been from here forever and in the "know" your child gets nowhere. I have heard the same is true for the high school.
