GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

Newton County is a great high school for a family moving to Newton County. However, I would like more extracurricular activities, a better space for the choir, and better food in the cafeteria.

I loved my school. It was a place of encouragement. I am so thankful for the teachers I had and their impacts on my life.
4.0 Senior

I enjoyed all the clubs and activities students can be apart of. Students are never alone with it comes to learning any information for their education. Have the best South State district team like basketball, track, soccer, football, and tennis. Newton County is the most diverse school because of the difference in culture and style.

The administration has chosen to severely limit class selection for middle and high school students making it difficult for advanced students...
